Requirements: · You need a Linux system with gcc, the X Window System, Qt, Python and PyQt installed. (Alternatively, you can try the preview edition of PayThyme 3.2 on Windows). A monitor with resolution 1024x768 is really the minimum for some of the payroll screens. · We have built and tested PayThyme successfully on the following distributions: Debian Sarge, Red Hat 9, SuSE 9.1, SuSE 9.3, SuSE 10.1, Fedora Core 1, Core 2, Core 3 and Core 4, and Ubuntu 5.10. · You need Python 2.2 or later. Try installing the Thyme CD, (whose image you can download) and do not proceed further until Thyme installs without errors. Then run 'makethyme'. If this comes up with a screen, just quit.
