asdGB Description

Automatically set default Gnome browser asdGB is a simple bash script which runs in background, checks for opened browsers and sets the default handler for links in the Gnome desktop environment. This means that if you got just one active browser that one will be set as default, opening all links from other applications (email, notifications, im, gnome-terminal ecc) directly on the active browser without opening an other one.I realized this script as I use Epiphany to browse the web (that's my default browser on gnome preferences) but some times I need to open firefox and Opera for debugging purposes. When I do open those other browser I usually close Epiphany to save memory and resources, but if I click on a link on Skype or any other programs, my default browser always pops up. asdGB prevents this waste of resources, setting the open browser as default handler for links. If more then one browser are active, then the script will choose using your preferences. Requirements: · gtk+ What's New in This Release: · First public relase, fully functional with configuration and help.
