ASpell GUI Description

ASpell GUI is an open source and totally free graphical application written in GTK+ and designed as a graphical user interface (GUI) for the GNU Aspell command-line application. It is a very simple application that uses GNU Aspell, which must be installed before using this software, to spell check a sentence or a single word outside of a text editor. In order to install the application, download the archive, extract it and run the ./configure or ./autogen.sh commands from the extracted folder. Then execute make and sudo make install to compile and install the application. If you want to install it in /usr instead of the default /usr/local, add the --prefix=/usr option to one of the first two commands.
