PyGnomon Description

PyGnomon is a software for calendrical calculations with multiple calendars, i.e. Gregorian, Julian etc. PyGnomon is a software for calendrical calculations with multiple calendars, i.e. Gregorian, Julian etc. It is based on the algorithms in the book Calendrical Calculations (3rd Edition).The first stage of the project is to build the classes and functions that are useful for defining calendars and for using them in Python code. The basic building block is the Date class and each calendar is a sub-class. Astronomical functions are added separately.The second stage of the project is to build a GUI for people to use the functions. After a great deal of thought, I have decided to remove the existing GUI. It was old (4 years) and did reflect the current capabilities of the code. A new design is needed. Requirements: · Python
