Save a Link as a Windows Shortcut File (extension: Url) The advantage is of course, that you don't have to save the whole page and possibly all its files. I find this useful when working with projects, that comprise a group of files including text, pictures etc. Its is basically the same as a bookmark, but is not stored within Firefox but with your project files instead.SaveLink is a Firefox extension that simply adds a Menu Items to the File Menu and the Context Menu. Selecting it opens a File SaveAs dialogue.Languages: German, French, English. Requirements: · Mozilla Firefox What's New in This Release: · You can now also save a link to a focussed hperlink on a page in addition to a link to the page itself. · So it is a additional option you have. Say for example you are looking at some Google results. · It would now be possible to save a link to one of the results directly without opening that result. · This was a suggestion by Mel P (05.11.2009 ). · I think that might be useful. · So if you select nothing, you save a link to the current page, if an the other hand you right click on a hyperlink, you will save a link to the page that the hyperlink is pointing at and it is that page, that will be opened if you click of the url file. · You can also tell what option you have chosen by looking at the open dialog title.
