Reading and organizing a large number of emails can prove to be both time consuming and tedious, since it involves performing repetitive actions. BlinkMail is a simple but stylish Mac app that enables you to quickly preview your messages and manage them by using your arrow keys. Forthright status bar menu application for reading emails To be able to use the BlinkMail app. you must start by adding an email account in the Preferences window. The application is able to handle multiple accounts at the same time, so you will be able to monitor all your correspondence. BlinkMail will automatically scan your email account for new entries, and then displays the messages in its main panel. The best part is that you can use the arrow keys to reply to the message, to mark the email as read, to flag it, to move it to a specific folder, and so on. Intuitive keyboard combinations for managing your emails Within the BlinkMail Preferences window you can easily setup keyboard shortcuts for activating the BlinkMail panel, or for composing a new email. At the same time, you can change the actions associated to the arrow hotkeys, depending if the “Shift” key is used as a modifier or not. Thanks to these shortcuts, you have the possibility to handle a large number of emails without too much hustle. Moreover, BlinkMail allows you to adjust the check for new email frequency: every minute, every 5 minutes, every half an hour, or every hour. Uncomplicated solution for reading and managing email messages in an unobtrusive manner BlinkMail is a great tool to have around if you are using multiple email accounts and you want to stay on top of your correspondence without disrupting your work. Note that the app is under development and that some of its features do not work properly: hitting the reply button enables you to write a response to the next email message, and not for the one currently displayed in the BlinkMail panel.
