Clicktunes is a free and innovative Mac OS X application designed to automatically change the music you are listening to in your Spotify account based on the intensity of your mouse activity. In other words, the app calculates your clicks per minute and plays the most appropriate music from a predefined list. The user interface of Clicktunes is very easy to handle, as it only consists of a menu bar panel with shortcuts to the most commonly used actions and a Preferences window where you can configure which music you want to listen to and determine how frequent the songs should change. Clicktunes optionally displays the actions (clicks) per minute in your menu bar. If the APM exceeds a custom threshold, the Spotify track automatically changes to something faster (with a higher beat per minute). The BPM settings can also be changed from the preferences. Furthermore, the app also provides support for global hotkeys (play / pause, next track and freeze APM) that can be set in the General tab of the preferences. In addition, the Music tab provides an option to choose only hot tracks and displays a list for hand-picking only the music genres you want to listen to. Additional features include searching for a music genre, which comes in handy because there are over 100 listings. You can also configure the interval for automatically changing the track after a certain period or after the APM reaches a certain value. To conclude, Clicktunes is a streamlined and intelligent OS X menu bar based app that decides which Spotify music to play based on your own mouse actions and criteria. It knows when you are playing games, working or doing something casual on the computer and automatically selects the best music to listen to.
