HornetsEye Description

Open source Ruby real-time computer vision extension HornetsEye is a video processing and computer vision library offering interfaces to do image- and video-I/O with ImageMagick/Magick++, Xine, firewire digital camera (DC1394), and video for linux (V4L). HornetsEye offers interfaces to do image- and video-I/O with ImageMagick / Magick++, Xine, firewire digital camera (DC1394), and Video For Linux (V4L).HornetsEye is maybe the first free software project providing a solid platform for implementing real-time computer vision software in a scripting language. The platform potentially could be used in robotic applications, industrial automation as well as in microscopy, materials science, and medical research.HornetsEye is implemented in Ruby and thus can be used interactively. Requirements: · RMagick What's New in This Release: · Added srand48, drand48, and lrand48 from GNU C library to enable · compilation with MinGW. · Achieved full compatibility with Ruby1.9.1p243. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Implemented JITComplex to achieve · compatibility with Ruby 1.9.1p243. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Using Object.instance_exec instead of · Proc.bind for increased compatibility with Ruby 1.9.1p243. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Added opt-out range checks to · histograms and maps/warps. · MEncoderOutput uses DivX3 as default codec now. · Bugfix: Sequence_.to_yv12 and to_i420 must ensure contiguous input. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Added n-dimensional connected · component analysis. · Bugfix: X11Output and W32Output needs to mark current frame to · corevent garbage collector from deleting it. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: X11Display.show and W32Display.show · resizes drawing canvas of window to width and height of first frame · unless specified otherwise. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Frame_.show and Sequence_.show takes · width and height as parameters instead of display variable. · Added Wiener filter example. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Implemented integral (summed area · tables) for n-dimensional arrays. · Implemented maps, warps, and histograms for composite numbers. · hornetseye/hornetseye_ext.rb: Implemented multi-dimensional · histograms and multi-dimensional weighted histograms.
