Linear Diameter Calculator Description

Convert angular diameters of deep sky objects into actual diameters. Linear Diameter Calculator is a tool for easily converting the angular diameter of a deep sky object into its linear (actual) diameter.Linear Diameter Calculator also handles some of the conversions you may need to perform to do this calculation, including handling distances in parsecs and angular diameters in arcminutes and arcseconds. Here are some key features of "Linear Diameter Calculator": · Enter the Distance and Angular diameter in the first two boxes, and then press the Calculate button. The Linear diameter will appear in the third box. · To reset the boxes, press the Clear button. · Take care that you type the distance in light years and the angular diameter in degrees. If the values you have aren't of these types, use the More button for alternative measurements. The application should ignore non-numerical values. · Clicking the More button reveals some extra boxes for adding different types of data. · If the distance you have is in parsecs, type it into the Distance (parsecs) box. Press the Parsecs to light years button and the conversion will be made, and the light years value put into the relevant box. · If the angular diameter you have is in arcminutes, type it into the Angular diameter (arcminutes) box. Press the Arcminutes to degrees button and it will converted into degrees and put into the relevant box. · If the angular diameter you have is in arcseconds, type it into the Angular diameter (arcseconds) box. Press the Arcseconds to degrees button and it will converted into degrees and put into the relevant box. · Press the Calculate button to perform the calculation using the converted data. · Clicking the Less button hides this part of the window.
