Easily manage who is talking and how much Tikara is a free and open source speakers tool for MUNs (Model United Nations), that manages MUN sessions regarding who is talking when. Here are some key features of "Tikara": Managing councils: · You can create different councils, having different member states. There are two possible types of members you can add, either member states (hold all rights) or representatives (are not allowed to vote). Tikara knows all current official UN member states and their according flag, so you are right off to go. Quorum: · To assist your opening procedure, the Quorum mode features a roll call collecting the presence state of each of your council members. These states will be used in votings, i.e. if a council member is absent during Quorum he will be automatically absent in any upcoming votings. Of course you can change the presence states in Quorum all the time, e.g. if a member appears late. Speaking Modes: · Currently there are three different modes supported, which are Formal Debate, Caucus and Unmoderated Caucus. The screenshots below should give you an idea how each of these modes operate.Most speaking modes support a compact mode, which will resize Tikara to its minimum, showing you the current speaker and his remaining speaking time. This is mostly useful if you intend to show something else on your screen, e.g. a document or a resolution. Voting: · You are able to specify vote procedure and type for each vote. Vote type can be a Resolution, Unfriendly Amendment or none. Vote procedures is either a roll call vote, meaning you will call every member of your council and ask him or her to choose a vote or you can directly enter the amount of Yes, No and Absent votes if you are counting directly and anonymously.If your vote is a resolution or an unfriendly amendment you are able to specify sponsors and signatories if needed.Vote results will be shown as a pie chart and in percentages.
