Snow Leopard Automator action which will take a list of tarfile paths/URLs and extract each one to the same directory Untar Action is a free and open source Automator action which implements a simple ‘untar’ action for use in Automator workflows. Untar Action performs essentially the same task as ‘Open Finder Items’, with the exception that it won’t causes the Finder to spawn a new window for each tar file it expands.Untar Action will accept a list of files (which should all be tar files) as either URLs or paths, and will return whichever of those items was successfully extracted.Installation: Double click the included Xcode project and choose Build from the Build menu in Xcode. This will build the Automator action in the "/build/Debug" folder inside the source directory.
