Grappler Description

Watching or listening media content online is great, but the downside is that you never know how long will the video or audio track remain hosted on a certain service. Grappler is a stylish application that enables you to quickly download videos or songs in no time. The Grappler installation and uninstallation processes are reduced to simple drag and drop actions. The app's main window is split in two areas: on top you can view the search results or specific webpages, while on the bottom you can monitor the progress of different downloads. The areas are separated by a toolbar that includes navigation buttons (back, forward and home), a search bar (where you can input a search term or an URL address), a toggle button that changes the download format (original or audio track only) and a Clear button that can be used to remove finished downloads from the bottom panel. When you search for a specific term, each available video comes with its own set of buttons that enable you to preview the content within the application (during our tests this feature did not work) or download it to your disk. In the Grappler Preferences window you can easily set up the default output folders both for the video content and the audio tracks. The same area allows you to have the videos automatically optimized for iOS, Xbox 360 or PS4 devices or you can select the highest quality available (MP4). Note that you can download up to 10 videos simultaneously. All in all, Grappler comes with a stylish design and an intuitive workflow that offers you the possibility to quickly download videos or songs hosted online, even though certain functions don’t work as advertised just yet.
