Serve Speed is an app to conviniently measure your service speed. Here's how : First, get a partner to measure the speed for you. :) 1. Place the device in the center of service court you are serving to, about 10 feet inside service line. 2. Hit the serving man button to start measuring serves. 3. The app will detect a serve within the detection interval, if it was reasonably valid. i.e. not too long nor into the net. A couple of feet long is OK. It will be detected. You can set various parameters to measure speed more accurately such as, using weather data or setting ball specific parameters like weight and size. You can refer the in-app help to know more about the limitations on ambient conditions (such as avoiding windy/rainy weather). When used within the limitations, the app will give you a very accurate service reading. This app was born out of my own need to measure my service speed. And there wasn't an app for that. Since professional equipment is too expensive, I decided to build it myself. It looks simple but, internally, it employs quite elaborate processing to get correct service speed. So you can be sure that the speeds detected are pretty accurate. Please feel free to give any feedback, improvement suggestions, ratings and comments. No need for trial version.
