BizTalk Server Best Practices Analyzer Description
BizTalk Server Best Practices Analyzer was developed to perform configuration-level verification by reading and reporting only. The Best Practices Analyzer gathers data from different information sources, such as Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) classes, SQL Server databases, and registry entries. The Best Practices Analyzer uses the data to evaluate the deployment configuration. The Best Practices Analyzer does not modify any system settings, and is not a self-tuning tool. NOTE: - You may need to explicitly set some Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) permissions before you can use the Best Practices Analyzer in a distributed environment, where SQL Server is not installed on the same computer as BizTalk Server. - This is because when the Best Practices Analyzer tries to connect to a remote computer running SQL Server, WMI may not have sufficient access to determine whether SQL Server Agent is running. This may result in incorrect best practices evaluations.
