DSR-TaskRunner Description

DSR-TaskRunner is a batch automation utility to facilitate numerous system and development tasks with unlimited scalability user definable variables, extensive options, and thorough logging. Each task is run in its own thread, yet variables are maintained across the entire task list. When it is necessary to copy files (Copy files from iPod Touch to PC), compile multiple software projects, move files, send messages across the network to various people, or run any set of miscellaneous tasks in succession. DSR-TaskRunner is able to simplify the process, keep a record by logging the results, allow you to export to a batch file, and save both time and effort. One customer has a requirement to compile over 250 Visual C++, Visual Basic, and Visual Studio .Net projects and log the results on a regular basis, sometimes daily. To do this with a bat file would take hours, to do it manually would take days. But, with DSR-TaskRunner they simply click on the execute button, and the entire process is accomplished automatically. The projects are compiled, the results are logged, and a message is sent across the network upon completion. They no longer have to spend their day sitting in front of the build PC. In addition, if using windows 2000 and above, task lists can be scheduled to execute automatically at a specific time and date without user interaction by using the integrated "Windows Scheduled Tasks" interface. One great use of DSR-TaskRunner is to setup task lists for routine System Maintenance. Task lists could then be scheduled to clean out the event viewer, Check for dead links, perform disk cleanup, clear the registry, run disk defragmenter, etc... DSR-TaskRunner ensures that all of your system maintenance utilities (System cleanup maintenance program) are executed in the proper order, and that everything is logged. Another great use of DSR-TaskRunner is to create folders and name them with the current date. Then DSR-TaskRunner can transfer files from a digital camera or other device and everything this stored in chronological folders.
