Demolition Company Description

At first I thought Demolition Company is rather boring and I was about to write a rather negative review about it. Then I noticed that my coworker kept playing it, for minutes after minutes, and he was really enjoying it. While I considered it a tedious, completely uninteresting game, he was having the time of his life playing it, even if all that he was doing was using some simple tools to bring down some buildings. He said it was rather relaxing, and I started seeing his point. Then, after the first mission was completed, a small excavator come into play, and things really got captivating. Also, the game's physics are strangely satisfying, somehow weird, but also surely interesting. So, Demolition Company is a game in which you do nothing else but demolish buildings and structures, using anything you can, from hand tools to excavators and even C4 explosives. The visuals are decent, neither impressive, nor embarrassing. The controls are also rather average, neither too precise, nor too clunky either. And the gameplay is as simple as it can get, to the point where people could easily call it boring and tedious. Yet, it's quite fun, as making a mess, knocking down buildings and watching them crumble, will surely fascinate many of us, and its physics engine is both peculiar and hilarious. In conclusion, Demolition Company is unique. Despite the short, dull, and overly simple gameplay, it's also surprisingly fun, relaxing, and even addictive. Margie Smeer Editor rating:
