Sometimes it can become quite difficult to keep track of all your movies, especially when you enjoy watching one very night or on weekends. A useful and efficient tool, EasyMovieCatalog can help you quickly generate film catalogs from your extensive movie collection. This basic tool is quite easy to understand and work with, thanks to its wizard-style interface, that makes things very linear for you. All you have to do is select the directory containing all your favorite films, set a location for the catalog file, give it a title, and you are finished. In addition, the program also allows you to specify an exclusion filter, enabling you to leave out of the catalog certain files. EasyMovieCatalog takes care of the rest, by scanning the selected folder and adding all the movies it can detect to a HTML list. When it is done, you can simply open the created file in any Internet browser and review the entries. Moreover, provided that you have an Internet connection, EasyMovieCatalog can look on various online movie databases and gather information about each film. It will then create additional pages in your catalog, containing various bits of data about each entry, such as rating, short description, director and actors' names, year of release or duration. A negative aspect of EasyMovieCatalog is the fact that it does not allow you to manually remove items from the catalog, it simply mirrors the items in your movie folder. Yet, such a feature might be useful, as it would provide you with a sense of control over what gets added to your catalog.
