From Dicm Software Tools: Empedocles DICOM MPPS (Modality Performed Procedure Step) Server manages radiology workflow with the DICOM MPPS service class. Modalities create and complete MPPS with Empedocles. MPPS datasets and notifications are forwarded to multiple DICOM application entities. Empedocles queues all routed MPPS activity to ensure MPPS fulfillment. Empedocles brokers HL7 messages. MPPS activity is converted to HL7 messages and sent to HL7 servers. All HL7 messages are queued to ensure HL7 message commitment. What's new in this version: Version 5.1 adds MPPS HL7 Broker.
