It can be used for educational purposes, as it allows you to create bilingual dictionaries. It sports a clean and straightforward interface that offers only a few dedicated parameters to tinker with. You can add a new word to the list by simply introducing it in the dedicated panel, specifying its translated version, and adding a short description, which may contain grammar or phonetics information or other notes that you may consider useful. What’s more, you can edit the details about each word, rank each item, delete the selected word, and perform search operations for quickly finding an item in the database. Other important features worth mentioning enable users to view the date when a new word is introduced in the list, limit the number of words, as well as backup the information to XML file format. Since there aren’t many configuration settings even rookies can build their own dictionaries with minimum effort. During our testing we have noticed that the tool carries out a task quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. It manages to remain light on the computer resources, so it doesn’t hamper system performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality. To sum things up, G5 Learning English offers a simple software solution when it comes to creating bilingual dictionaries.
