GENViewer Lite Description

prev next GENViewer Lite is the free version of GENViewer that allows you to read and analyze genealogical documents of different file formats. Some of the supported file formats are: GEDCOM, Personal Ancestral files (PAF), Master Genealogist, and Family Tree Maker. GENViewer Lite has some limitations: you can access only three of the ten types of views of the full version: General, Individual, and Family, but it is sufficient to analyze the information of big files. The "General" tab allows you see the details of the genealogy file - depending of the file type the information is shown. The "Individual" tab shows all the detailed information such as birth, death, events, parents, marriages, children and you can check notes. The "Family" tab shows the Active individual, their spouses, children, and parents. If you want to find a particular individual you can use the "Find Individual" window and one of the different searching options.
