When Windows dies, all your long filenames can't be transferred to a new machine. But if you ran LFNit! beforehand, you can transfer the files and then restore the long filenames! It's also handy for use with old 16 bit utilities that don't recognise long filenames. After 16 bit software has compressed, backed up, copied, moved or tranferred your files, use LFNit! to restore the long filenames with the completely portable .BAT file! Very useful with old software. Safe-doesn't use direct disk access. FAT32 compatable.
