Magic Lantern Description

The Magic Lantern application was developed to be a tool for putting together and displaying your photos and movies in the form of a slideshow. The main window is shown above. You construct your show by dragging the image files onto the thumbnail panel at the bottom. This list can be edited in various ways and saved as a simple text file. When your list is complete, you can use the program to display the images with a preset delay between each slide. Each slide can pan and zoom automatically. Alternatively, you can interrupt the preset show and pan and zoom the pictures manually. The images are displayed in full-screen mode with an uncluttered black background and without captions to maximize the impact of your photos. The captions can be displayed manually at any time. Before you start constructing a slide show it is wise to make sure that you have set the screen parameters first. That way Magic Lantern will know what default values to use for the pan and zoom settings. Setting the screen parameters NOTE: Magic Lantern also has limited support for movie files (.MOV and .AVI files principally).
