MEND-TOX is an environmental simulator designed to track the dynamic distribution of chemical contaminants in the multimedia environment. It is based on a detailed mechanistic description of intermedia transfer processes and can be used to study various scenarios with minimum parameter input requirements. Mend-Tox includes the following media: air, atmospheric aerosol (divided in multiple size fractions), soil, water, sediment, suspended solids, biota and vegetation. Mend-Tox is easy to use and includes a chemical data base that can be expanded. In addition the user can easily build libraries of chemical regional, meteorological and simulation scenarios.
