Power Plan Chooser Description
The Power Plan Chooser application was developed to be a small utility that sits in the notification area (task bar) in Windows 7 and allows the user to quickly activate one of the three standard Windows 7 power plans (Balanced, High Performance and Battery Saver). I wrote this application after getting frustrated with only two power plan choices after upgrading to Windows 7 Professional. The way the software works is using a command called powercfg to activate one of the following power plans in Windows 7 - Power Scheme GUID: 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e (Balanced) - Power Scheme GUID: 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c (High performance) - Power Scheme GUID: a1841308-3541-4fab-bc81-f71556f20b4a (Power saver) Main features: Quickly switch between the three standard Windows power plans
