Vocoder Description

Vocoder, as it’s name suggests is an application designed to be an audio plugin which helps you give a generated sound the aspect of a human voice. The vocoder in discussion displays a user-friendly interface with a very nice graphic design that makes its functions all that mode comprehensive. At its core, it’s a fairly complex piece of software engineering capable of manipulating an audio output and completely transforming it. Vocoder is split into multiple sections, each serving a specific role in the outcome of the sound. The plugin enables you to adjust parameters for the modulator, carrier, synthesizer, equalizer and compression. Using Vocoder you are able to set the limit for the modulation input as well as adjust the overall audio output strength which is always good because you don’t really want to damage your equipment by overdoing it with the volume. The plugin offers you the use of two oscillators for which you can set identical or different waveforms and adjust their volume and tune. You can fine-tune the effect that Vocoder generates by adjusting the equalizer knobs. There are only two bands to choose from but the highs, mids and lows that each brings are enough to make a big or subtle difference in the sound. Vocoder, as a plugin is more than capable of doing its job but the way the resulting audio sounds is up to you. This makes the plugin seem a bit of a trial and error tool at first, but only after you fully understand what the controls do and how various instruments or sounds react to it, can you obtain a high quality result. In closing, Vocoder is by all means a powerful and well designed plugin that you can safely and easily use to create and enhance a vocoder effect.
