WebsitePainter is a WYSIWYG editor to create websites. It lets you edit your pages as simply as inserting elements in them and typing your own texts. However, it is quite powerful as it allows enriching your pages with several web elements. If you have used website creator software before, you will probably find that WebsitePainter is not very different from other applications of its kind and it is unlikely that you have many difficulties while using it. There is a toolbar allowing most common operations, such as creating a website, opening or saving projects, adding pages and publishing the website. It has a main working area surrounded by the Documents panel, the Properties panel and the Toolset bar. The Documents panel is a simplified version of a file explorer in which the structure of the website is shown in tree view. The Properties panel automatically shows the properties of the selected element. Finally, the Toolset includes the supported web elements. However, let me tell you that web editing is a complex activity, so some previous knowledge will be required before you can successfully create a website from scratch. Good news is that you will not need to deal with HTML code because the program will generate it for you. When the website is ready, you can publish it to a local folder or to an Internet location. Inexperienced users can always use one of the templates that are readily available from the welcome screen. This option will create the necessary pages and elements in them, and you will be able to customize the text according to your needs. Unfortunately, these templates are rather limited and unoriginal. Technically speaking, WebsitePainter offers several advantages. First, it supports adding dynamic HTML content and creating absolute and dynamically-sized layouts. In addition, apart from HTML, it can also create pages in other languages, such as the popular PHP and ASP.
