Word Viewer Description

Text documents can be found under various formats, not all of them compatible with each other. Luckily, specialized applications such as Word Viewer allow files to easily be converted to the desired type, so no difficulties are encountered while working.Straightforward and easy to useFrom the moment the application launches you are required to select the type of conversion to be done, but this can also be specified when asked where the newly created file should be saved. A small browsing window lets you import the desired file. Afterward, by simply selecting a destination for the output as well as the type, you can get back to work. Open and view any text documentBesides the functions mentioned above, the application also gives you the possibility to import text files for inspection and save to a different format or print out on a sheet of paper. However, available editing options are limited to changing the text size and background color, with no implemented function for a more thorough editing. Seeing how it can open various text file formats it is useful for reading. You can switch to full screen for a better view, or a read mode keeping the zoom functions usable, but with no possibility to align text, becoming a little difficult. Additionally, an option allows you to attach the given document to an e-mail in case it urgently needs to be sent. In conclusionTaking everything into consideration, we can say that Word Viewer is a straightforward application, but tends to swim in a sea with strong currents. File conversion is done flawlessly, and you are left with an illusion that editing functions are available. Overall it feels a little rough around the edges, but manages to get the job done good and fast. Reviewed by Mircea Dragomir, last updated on April 29th, 2014
