akIDE Description

akIDE is an Integrated Development Environment. It targets primary Digital Mars D language akIDE is an Integrated Development Environment. It targets primary Digital Mars D language, but is designed to be used with virtually any language or compiler. D because it is just a bit higher level than C++ and still very fast (some people shows benchmarks according to which D is THE fastest language). Also I believe this will be the biggest D project (which is not abandoned) at the moment I started and it will prove D to be usable for large/commercial applications. Win32 because it is fast and looks nice. I'm trying to make it usable for projects consisting of single file, as well as large projects involving even few languages and many files.Main features of akIDE:Workspace management - multiple projects, multiple configurations, dependencies, import existing projects. Compiler templates - real build system; supports virtually any compiler; customizable compiler output and error pattern; customizable parameters; scripting support. Project templates - extetend program functionality with ECMA scripts (JavaScript). Included SDK for creating new project wizards and custom UIs. HTML accelerators - easily insert HTML (or any other) tags via keyboard accelerators or the toolbar HTML features - quick HTML colours, quick HTML tables Macros - quick recording of unlimited number of macros Powerful tools - able to pass any workspace file or parameter to external programs Very customizable - from editor templates to icons, accelerators, toolbars, external programs and menus - make it taste what you like best Predefined templates - comes with predefined styles for C++, D, JavaScript, XML, HTML, PHP, CSS, SQL. Compiler templates for D. Project templates for D. Fast - runs faster than any Java program and than most .Net ones. Fast enough (on my PC - athlon 1800+) to be used even as notepad replacementWhat's New in This Release:matrix.dll is now loaded when about dialog is open instead of start up. This should make akIDE load faster (do not expect to be noticeable). akIDE/akie is now compiled for Windows 4.0 (98, 95 not tested) instead of 5.0 (XP). All program parameter are now rendered before any execution. Pre/Post build steps are no more executed for unmodified files (when this check is enabled). 'Run once' program now have better access to files through the new user variables. It is now possible to pass all the files to compiler at once and still count the modified files. Browse for working directory in the project properties was saying "browse for base directory" and was not marking the configuration as modified. Fixed now. Updated `cpp` verbatim style (this is for all C-like languages). repeat is now setting one more variable - repeat.counteras (same as repeat.counter but ascending) program.output renamed to program.output.last. program.output is still available but with different output. Added (existing are updated) comment, program.output, program.output.length, program.last.output, program.output.last.length, program.intermediate.all, program.intermediate.modified, program.intermediate.uptodate, program.intermediate.length, file.all, file.all.length, file.all.output, file.modified, file.modified.length, file.output, file.uptodate, file.uptodate.length, file.uptodate.output . Added browse buttons in the 'New project' dialog. Added warning patterns support to program templates. Added column support for errors and warnings. Fixed file modification detection bug. Fixed selection length info on the task bar was displayed wrong after selection->deactivate app->activate app. Fixed bug where last entry in the project settings was stripped while rendering group.value or $group.output
