Amblyopia ABC Description

Amblyopia ABC is a software tool built in order to help children with ages between 3 and 12, suffering from Amblyopia, to correct their vision. Amblyopia is a disorder which usually develops during childhood, and it is characterized by impaired vision in one eye, and in rare cases both eyes. It affects 1-5% of the population, and depending on the underlying cause, it can be corrected with glasses, surgery or exercises. The installation process of this program is a piece of cake, while the interface is simple and intuitive, so that children can easily learn how to get around it. This program opts for a game-like approach and a colorful design, so that it can be appealing to the little ones. It consists of sixteen types of games, from finding a particular shape in a picture, to popping all the balloons on screen or recreating a given shape. Of course, all mini-games have different levels, so as to prove challenging to all user categories. It is recommended to use this software tool up to 3 times a day for a maximum of 15 minutes at a time, so as to get the best results. Help contents are not provided, yet seeing how simple to navigate the entire program is, it becomes apparent they are not actually needed. During our tests, it did not burden the computer’s performance, as it uses low CPU and memory, at all times. Taking all of this into consideration, we can safely say Amblyopia ABC is an efficient piece of software, with a good response time and a user-friendly environment.
