Facebook Manager Description

Facebook Manager is a simple-to-use application that attempts to display Facebook notifications in the system tray, keeping you up to date with the latest messages and updates from your friends. Once installed, Facebook Manager creates an icon in the system tray area that you can double-click to view notifications, messages and friends. Before doing so, you are required to log in with your account credentials. By opening the right-click menu of the icon, you can go to your Facebook page in the default web browser with the click of a button. There are no other options available through this tool. Facebook Manager runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM, so it doesn't affect overall performance. Since it sits in the system tray area, it doesn't interrupt normal user activity. However, the app has not been updated for a long time, and it seems to have some stability issues on newer operating systems (several errors popped up out of the blue in our tests). Furthermore, it has failed to alert us of new messages through visual or audible notifications. Facebook Manager needs a lot of improvements before becoming a reliable Facebook notifier.
