The outer space beings or commonly called as ‘Aliens’ have been a source of intrigue and discussion across the globe as scientists and commoners; all try to draw their own theories of alien existence. Information can be sought from books and journals that have been utilized to create motion pictures and other documentaries to support evidence and to cash on alien phenomena that correspond to lucrative profits too. Vivid graphics and colorful imagery are produced and created to have games that support the theory of alien combat and Outpost 41 is one of the many games that have been created in the process. Outpost 41 upon launch opens with a vibrant and dark looking interface with the main options placed intuitively across the screen. A bright mix of horror, adventure and lots of action, this 2D game can be played best in a dark room without much lighting to have a proper effect that would guarantee chills and thrills to the players. Supporting a split screen mode, the game can have two players working alongside and playing the game. The basic premise of the game consists of Outpost 41 which is an alien colony located on a remote planet that has a space shuttle that has landed on Earth. There are some hostile alien life forms that have infested the shuttle and have recovered some ancient and precious paintings that need to be brought back to Earth. The player sends convoy of 4 members with cameras on their helmets to check out and combat the aliens. To sum up, Outpost 41 definitely comes across as a game that can garner sufficient interest and curiosity in the players and hence scores a rating of 3.5 points for its enhanced performance and suitable thrills.
