The Stack Overflow Desktop Client application was developed to be a small tool written in WPF and C# that can notify you of new posts for tags that you've marked interesting on the actual website. Works by directly logging you in to the website instead of just monitoring the rss feeds. This started as a code sample but now it has turned into a desktop notifier for stack overflow.
