TetherBridge MIS Description

TetherBridge MIS is a mobile Internet sharing application to allow a PC (typically a laptop) to connect to the Internet through a Blackberry smartphone. It is NOT a wireless modem solution and does not set up a wireless IP modem tunnel through the cellular network. Instead, it shares the same wireless IP tunnel and IP address with all other TCP/IP applications on the Blackberry. Therefore, the user will no longer need to pay tethering fees due to wireless IP modem usage. After installation, you can start tethering: · Connect your Blackberry to your PC with a USB cable · Start TetherBridge MIS on your Blackberry and select from the TetherBridge MIS-Mobile command menu. · Start TetherBridge MIS on your PC and click 'Connect' Main features: Bona fide no-fee tethering Support most TCP/IP applications, including all Internet browsers and email clients such as Outlook Allow the Blackberry to be used as usual while in a tethering session. Allow the Blackberry Desktop Manager to be used in concurrency with tethering (performance may be affected) Track data usage to help avoid overuse Visual indication of connection progress Simple installation and virtually no configuration except on some cellular networks which require APN configuration Simple operation with user-friendly run-time guide. No need to read any instructions beforehand. Traffic goes from your Blackberry directly to your intended destination, no external server forwarding and therefore no additional risk of man-in-the-middle attack Downloading/uploading bandwidth as high as your Blackberry and the cellular network can provide at the time of use.
