CamXchange comes with a modern and intuitive design and offers you the possibility to preview and capture RAW video data processed by AJA’s Ki Pro Quad device. Simply connect your Ki Pro Quad tapeless video recorder to a Thunderbolt equipped computer and launch CamXchange: the app is able to capture the transmitted information and offers you the possibility to export it to a .rmf Canon RAW file or a WAV audio file. CamXchange provides support for the following Canon C500 camera output file formats: Canon RAW 4096x2160 23.98/24/25/29.97fps and Canon RAW 3840x2160 23.98/24/25/29.97fps. Note that you must also install the AJA NTV4 Driver which is included in the CamXchange package. To get things started you must make sure that both the Ki Pro Quad and the Canon C500 camera are connected to a host computer via the Thunderbolt port. If all the connections have been made correctly you will be able to preview the incoming signal in the CamXchange main window. However, the viewer does not show real time images when you are recording. At the same time, to make sure that you have enough disk space for your recordings, you can choose to use a Thunderbolt disk array/RAID device. CamXchange is a great utility if you want to record the image captured by the Ki Pro Quad tapeless video recorder and store it on your Mac. The output Canon RAW files can be further processed and transcoded by using the Canon Cinema RAW Development software application.
