Evo/Lution Description

Evo/Lution is an open source and completely free operating system derived from the lightweight and powerful Arch Linux distribution, designed as a Live CD and built around the Lution installer, a graphical software for installing Arch Linux with minimum effort and in a shortest time as possible. Available for download as a 64-bit Live CD image The distro is available for download as a Live CD ISO image that will fit on a CD disc or on a USB thumb drive of 1GB or higher capacity. It has been engineered to support only 64-bit hardware platforms. Boot options à la Arch Linux The bootloader is the same that is used on the Arch Linux ISO image, allowing the user to boot the system or an existing OS, run a memory test using the Memtest86+ utility, view detailed hardware information, as well as to reboot or shutdown the computer. Installing Arch Linux has never been easier with the Lution installer As mentioned, the main emphasis of this operating system is on helping the new Linux user to easily install Arch Linux on his or her computer, thanks to the Lution installer. However, please read the text file that will be automatically opened before starting to install Arch Linux using this tool. The distribution will boot into a very basic graphical session powered by Xfce. It includes a handful of open source applications, among which we can mention the Mozilla Firefox web browser, Zenmap network scanner, Xfburn CD/DVD burning software, PkgBrowser Pacman front-end, as well as the Mousepad and Leafpad text editors. Bottom line All in all, if you’re looking for an Arch Linux Live CD that includes a graphical installer, just to install this amazing operating system on your computer, than Evo/Lution is the perfect tool for that.
