Tiny Core Linux piCore is an open source and free Linux distribution based on the main Tiny Core Linux edition and specifically engineered for the Raspberry Pi platform. Among its features, we can mention Linux kernel 3.12 with sound DAC support, BusyBox, X.Org 7.7, eglibc 2.18, zram (compressed RAM), zswap (compressed swap in RAM), as wel as the Linaro 4.8-2013.11 (GCC 4.8.3) toolchain. Tiny Core Linux piCore is ideal for appliances and custom systems that use the Raspberry Pi architecture. It runs entirely in RAM, can be deployed on a SD card, and doesn’t require installation.
